MusicJazz-Pop Standards(including Tin Pan Alley, Show Tunes, etc.)
This broad-ranging section will host the bulk of my recordings, and includes Swing, Novelties, Saloon Songs, Songs from the Cinema, the Great American Song Book...pretty much any sort of 20th Century popular vocal music that would have been heard on the radio, on recordings, on stage, or in the parlor before the advent of Rock & Roll.
Island Tunes(including Hawaiian, Hapa Haole, Caribbean, Tiki Lounge, etc.)
This is music for a tropical mood. A Brooklyn boy with palm trees growing out of his head. Shake yourself up a fresh mai tai and have a listen.
C&W(including Cowboy, Country, Western Swing, Old Timey, Jug Band etc.)
Music of the mountains and the range, the lonesome pines, the campfire, the back porch, the barn dance.
Patsy's OriginalsArmageddon on the Train©2004 by Patsy Monteleone
Here is my lone original offering to date. I have written a few songs in my day, some of which will appear here later on. Mostly, I want to write new stuff, and I am hopeful that the existence of this category will prompt me to get off my duff to do it. Recorded with a regular uke, banjo uke, bell, maracas, finger snaps, whistling, and vocal eefs and clucks, I had a lot of fun doing it. Unfortunately, it was one of those tunes I recorded early on, directly into my laptop's built-in dot-sized condenser mic, and the sound quality suffers. This song was inspired by my growing realization over the past years that the people currently in control of the federal government might actually be behaving in such a way so as to purposely initiate Armageddon. How else can one explain starting a major war in south central Asia based on lies? Talk about stirring up a hornet's nest!
Other song categories to be added:Late 1950s & Early 1960s Pop/Rock
Late 1960s & Early 1970s Pop/Rock
Folk
The Blues
Soon to come: Patsy's "Videos" page. Meantime, videos of Patsy (and many other cool uke acts) can be seen at
